Retrolite Corporation of America proudly announces the availability of the PoultryFlector. This compact fluorescent lamp reflector was designed to capture and redistribute the maximum light intensities to the floor area. The reflector was designed around the technical design/merits of the Overdrive Lighting 23 and 36 watt T3, 2700K integral spiral CFL. Independent lighting tests by Lighting Sciences - Scotsdale, Arizona, shows that the PoultryFlector using the Overdrive 23 or 36 watt CFL's can amplify, on average, the lumen levels 2.8 times when using the 23 watt lamp and 2.6 times when using the 36 watt CFL. Lumen readings taken directly under the 23 watt CFL mounted at 10’ show light levels X 5 of the bare lamp and levels of X 4 to X 1.5 over a range of 70 degrees. Similar data was witnessed using the 36 watt Overdrive CFL.
 
The PoultryFlector was designed to allow the grower to use a smaller CFL lamp rather than the larger CFL's of 40, 55 and 65 watts while achieving greater and more even floor lumens. This PoultryFlector was also designed for eliminating High Pressure Sodium lamps and to allow smaller wattage CFL's to be used in higher ceiling houses.
 
This PoultryFlector is a one time purchase. It was designed to help keep the lamp clearer by allowing the lamp to fit under the reflector but maximizing the light output. The reflector simply fits between the lamp and the keyless socket. It allows an even distribution of floor lumens.
 
The PoultryFlector was designed for a payback of 6 months or less using data on 10' mounting heights and 10 cents per kilowatt electric costs. The effectiveness of this reflector can be seen via the lighting calculation attachment.
