Over the past 2 years we have searched for the best way of enclosing the dimmable spirals to basically safeguard the glass spiral and be able to wipe off the debris with a damp cloth.
Keeping the spiral clean helps to maintain the lumen output. Enclosing the spiral with a reflector lens also focuses and reflects all of the lumen capabilities of the lamp downward and makes more light available on the floor.
TESTING SHOWS A 30% LIGHT INCREASE OVER THE BARE SPIRAL MODELS.
We are able to enclose the 15 watt integral spiral with a R30 reflector lens cover and actually improve the amount of floor lighting. This R30 dimmable reflector compact fluorescent now offers even greater lumen floor light levels while still offering excellent dimming.
Remember to follow the installation guidelines per www.aglights.com. Dimming levels should be adjusted per the dimmer adjustments in the same website.
